What this upgraded backend version can convert
Best Quality Backend mode is designed for DOC/DOCX files with complex charts, SmartArt, shapes, floating images, headers, footers, tables, page breaks, columns and non-English fonts. Browser mode is kept as a private fallback for simple DOCX files.
Privacy note
Browser mode never uploads files. Backend mode sends the selected file to your own VPS endpoint for conversion, then the backend deletes temporary files after the PDF is created.
Troubleshooting
If backend mode says offline, check that the FastAPI service is running, the document conversion engine is installed, and nginx routes /api/word-to-pdf/ to the backend port.
