How to use the Encrypt & Lock tool

1. Upload your document

Simply click the upload box or drag and drop your PDF file into the designated area. All processing happens securely.

2. Set the Document Open Password (User Password)

This is the standard password. Anyone who wants to open and read the PDF will be required to type this password. Make sure to remember it, as it cannot be recovered.

3. Set the Permissions Password (Owner Password)

This is a master password. It allows you to lock down specific features of the PDF. If someone opens the file in a PDF reader and tries to copy text or print it, they will be blocked unless they enter this Owner Password.

4. Choose Allowed Actions

By default, if you leave the checkboxes empty, the PDF will be highly restricted (no printing, no copying, no editing). Check the boxes for the features you want to allow regular users to perform.
