📄 What This Tool Does
PDF Folder Health Scanner PRO analyzes your PDF files using up to 7 forensic layers. It detects corruption, damaged structures, encryption, render failures, and extraction issues — then gives each file a health score from 0 to 100 with a repair recommendation.
📂 How to Upload Files
- Drag & Drop: Drag a folder or PDF files directly into the drop zone
- Select Folder: Click "Select Folder" to pick an entire folder (all PDFs inside are loaded)
- Select PDFs: Click "Select PDFs" to pick individual files
- Files are uploaded to a private server and deleted automatically after scanning
⚙ Scan Modes
🟢 Safe Mode
Fast check: file signature, parser load, and page count. Best for large batches.
🟡 Quick Mode
Safe checks + first page render. Good balance of speed and detail.
🔵 Deep Mode
Full forensic analysis: all 7 layers including text extraction, encryption details, and multi-page render.
🏷 Status Meanings
✅ HealthyAll checks passed. File is intact.
⚠️ WarningMinor issues — still readable but needs attention.
💔 CorruptedStructural failure. File may be unrecoverable.
❌ UnreadablePage tree broken. Cannot access pages.
🔒 Password LockedEncrypted. Needs user password. Structure is likely intact.
🔐 EncryptedEncrypted but accessible. Content may be restricted.
🚫 Invalid PDFNot a real PDF file — missing signature bytes.
🔧 Needs RepairMany pages inaccessible. Repair tool may help.
📊 Health Score (0–100)
A forensic score calculated from all checks that actually ran. Higher = healthier file.
- 90–100: Excellent — no issues detected
- 70–89: Good — minor structural concerns
- 40–69: Fair — some checks failed, file may be degraded
- 0–39: Poor — significant corruption detected
Note: Safe and Quick scans run fewer checks, so scores reflect only what was tested.
🔧 Repair Probability
Estimated chance that a repair tool (like qpdf, pdftk, or Acrobat) can recover the file. Only calculated from checks that actually ran — not guessed.
- High confidence: 4+ checks ran
- Medium confidence: 2–3 checks ran
- Low confidence: 1 or fewer checks ran

💡 Tips
- Use Deep scan for important archive folders
- Use Safe scan for quick triage of 100+ files
- Click any file in the left list or table to see full diagnostics
- Export to CSV and open in Excel for advanced filtering
- Press ESC at any time to cancel the scan
- Files with "Password Locked" status are NOT corrupted — they just need a password
